Hi, I'm Sally.

I am health + wellbeing coach, executive, consultant, educator, researcher/writer, and advocate.

How did I get here?

After several years personally searching for care within the conventional medical system on a variety of chronic (yet, functional) symptoms (eczema, acne, anxiety, leaky gut, and irregular and painful menses to name a few...),  I did not feel better—questionably worse. I realized there was a gap in the conventional health care model—lifestyle medicine. If I wanted to feel better, I needed to take more responsibility for my lifestyle habits, but I had not idea on how to begin. So,  I began studying and experimenting with nutrition and holistic health philosophies. For the first time, I was learning the healing power of self-care—how to truly address my chronic, functional symptoms naturally, and feel not only physically well, but holistically well too—mind, body, and spirit.

But, that was only the beginning.

I am now on a mission to empower others to feel
more holistically well, too.

I have been seeing clients and influencing the field for over a decade. I am passionate about being a trusted resource for my clients. Therefore, I believe to be in practice means to have a career-long commitment to learning, sharing, and applying the latest holistic health and wellbeing research. Thus, I chose to earn Master-level training to bring a much needed scholarly lens to the holistic health and wellbeing field.

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Holistic Health at St. Catherine University, a highly reputable health and social justice women's and minority college. During my studies, I learned about the healthy (and complicated) tension between traditional/indigenous philosophies of the healing arts and evidence-based medicine. I also completed my own research project about the critical window of infant gut microbiome development—a word that just hit the Webster's dictionary in 2017!

I am now a pioneer in understanding the healing power of nurturing the gut-brain connection!

In addition to my Master's training, I have a Functional Medicine coaching certificate through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, which is in affiliation with the prestigious Institute for Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine is a ground-breaking movement in health care that uses an evidence-based, whole-system diagnose and treatment philosophy that identifies the root cause of an ailment by exploring the relationship of genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors.

I love to learn. I love to listen. I love to empower positive change. And, if you are ready, willing and able, I'd love to support you or your community or organization towards wholeness. Please contact me, I look forward to working with you.

Sally
